Visit to the Schulich Library beehives

This is an opportunity to visit the beehives on the roof of the Schulich Library/Frank Dawson Adams building, in the company of an experienced beekeeper.  Participants will see the beekeeper open up the hive and inspect a honeycomb, and will learn first-hand about the organisation of a colony of bees.  There will also be a chance to ask questions. A protective bee suit will be offered to each participants.

(Note: While we will make every effort to prevent participants from being stung, please note that this is a visit to a live, working beehive.  We therefore do not recommend participation if you are allergic to bee stings.  An Epipen will be available.)
