From Science to Startup: A Beginner's Guide to Entrepreneurship as a Researcher

Interested in learning how you can turn your research into a business? Join the From Science to Startup workshop for an introduction to entrepreneurship tools available at the library and campus wide. All businesses need support to get started, the library provides access to leading industry research and market reports that you can use to establish your business, identify key competitors, anaylze consumer trends and behaviours, and more.

In this session you will:

  • Learn how McGill supports entrepreneurship and researchers across campus
  • Explore industry information tools and develop strategies to collect data
  • Evaluate company profiles and determine the difference between public and private company information
  • Take away frameworks and resources you can use to improve your startup strategy
