Wikipedia edit-a-thon: Women in science

In celebration of Science Literacy Week @ McGill, McGill Library will be one of the locations for a women in science wikipedia edit-a-thon. This edit-a-thon will focus on editing, improving and writing Wikipedia content about women who contributed to the sciences. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to fix a typo, add a citation or create a whole new article, then this is the workshop for you. For more information you can visit the Wikipedia meet up page.

The edit-a-thon will start at 2:00pm with a 30 minute tutorial on the basics of Wikipedia editing. This will be followed by a group editing session, where experienced wikipedia editors and librarians on site can help 1:1 and answer your questions.

Please bring a laptop if you have one. There were will be a few spare computers to lend.

McGill users, please sign in to register below and let us know you'll attend. Members of the public, please email sarah.severson [at] mcgill.ca (Sarah Severson) to register.
